I am the third generation business owner of W.H. Kassner, Inc., the ironworking shop down by the river in Tomkins Cove. Since my grandfather's days, we have specialized in projects at wastewater and water treatment plants in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Since taking over the business ten years ago, I have been in countless wastewater treatment plants, including our own Stony Point Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Current projects include work at Rockland Sewer District No. 1, Suffern WWTP, Newburgh WWTP, Ridgefield WWTP (Connecticut) and more.
In my line of work, I often joke that citizens hearing about their wastewater treatment plants means something is going wrong - and no one wants that. Unfortunately, that's the case in our home town.
While there have been a few upgrades over the past few years, which my company was part of performing, our hometown plant needs a lot of work.
I have the professional expertise to guide a large scale project like this not only in the construction field but also specifically in addressing the needs of wastewater treatment plants.
